Background
Defendants’ counsel responded to a letter that SOCi, Inc. had filed on February 7, 2025. Defendants said SOCi’s letter referred to statements made during confidential settlement negotiations and argued that filings containing such communications should be sealed.
Defendants also said SOCi was attempting to obtain information before discovery based only on settlement communications. After the parties’ lawyers met and conferred about sealing the filings on February 10, 2025, they did not reach an agreement.

Defendants asked the court to seal SOCi’s letter and Defendants’ response in their entirety on the public docket. The order does not state that the court granted or denied that sealing request.
