What happened
In Reyes v. Jamison, a report and recommendation mailed to Miguel Reyes was returned as undeliverable. The court noted that Reyes had been released from incarceration and had not provided an updated address.
The court ordered the respondent to determine whether it had Reyes’s last known or forwarding address. If it did, the respondent had to mail Reyes a copy of the report and recommendation and notify the court by May 31, 2024, about its efforts.

Background
On May 16, 2024, the court was informed that the copy of a March 29, 2024 report and recommendation mailed to Miguel Reyes had been returned as undeliverable. The opinion states that the Bureau of Prisons’ website indicated Reyes had been released from incarceration in December 2023. It also states that Reyes had not provided the court with an updated address, despite an obligation to do so.

Order
The court ordered the respondent to determine whether it possessed Reyes’s last known address or a forwarding address. If the respondent had either address, it was ordered to mail Reyes a copy of the report and recommendation at that address.
The court also ordered the respondent to notify the court by May 31, 2024, of its efforts to locate Reyes and deliver the report and recommendation to him.
